TSUDAKOMA GEAR SYSTEM

All Tsudakoma rotary tables feature an exclusive Double Lead Worm Gear with
Full Depth Gear Tooth Geometry.  The tooth profile of the worm spindle becomes
thicker from right to left.  To lessen the backlash between the worm wheel and the
 worm spindle, one only has to axially move the worm spindle to engage a thicker
 tooth profile section with the worm gear.  This procedure takes about 15 minutes.

TSUDAKOMA WORM GEAR / WORM SPINDLE METROLOGY

The Tsudakoma worm wheel uses a special brass alloy with twice the tensile strength and
hardness of phosphor bronze.  The worm spindle uses a case hardened alloy steel.  The combination
of these two materials in a gear assembly results in a lower friction coefficient, minimal
gear chatter, and torque transmission two to three times that of competitive systems. 
The end result: a longer lasting rotary table, and more precise parts.

Another feature of the Tsudakoma gearing system is a gear tooth profile
substantially deeper than competitive systems.

The Tsudakoma worm gear diameter is substantially larger
 all across the Tsudakoma line than competitive systems. 

TSUDAKOMA CROSS ROLLER BEARING

Ultra precision cross roller bearings support radial, axial, and moment loads
providing four times the level of stiffness as angular contact bearings.
Cross roller bearings are constructed with a sequence of cylindrical rollers
arranged at right angles to each other within a sealed 90° V-groove.

TSUDAKOMA CLAMPING MECHANISMS

Tsudakoma rotary tables utilize five clamping systems powered both pneumatically and
hydraulically to generate clamping torque.  The RN Series tables use a pneumatically powered
return disc clamping mechanism which generates friction resistance on both sides of the
clamping disc.  The RNA-Series tables use a new Dual Taper pneumatic clamping system which
generates up to 300% greater clamp torque than our best selling RN-Series tables. 
The RB Series tables use hydraulic or air boosted hydraulic Dual Disc clamping
to generate high powered, heavy duty clamping.  The Dual Disc clamping system is mounted just
under the table face, as close to the workpiece as possible, minimizing deflection and assuring
maximum precision.  The TN Series tables use a newly developed "Double Piston" clamp
mechanism which generates friction on both sides of two clamping discs.  The RNCV, RNCM,
and TRNC Series tables use a clamping sleeve system which minimizes table deflection.

The innovations mentioned above are featured in various forms in all standard Tsudakoma
rotary tables.  In addition, application specific custom rotary tables are available built to order
